AUDITIONS!

All actors must submit a Google Audition Registration Form

This Google Audition Form will be accepted electronically through Monday, May 22

If you are unable to submit or are having issues with the Audition Form please contact DST at auditions@desertstages.org.

AUDITION INFORMATION:
This is an adult production. Audition submissions will be accepted from individuals ages 16 and up. No roles have been pre-cast. Actors of all backgrounds, ethnicities, sizes, physical abilities, and genders (conforming and non-conforming) are encouraged to audition.

AUDITION PREP:

The director will provide all audition material at the auditions. Please be familiar with the play.
Please bring your head shot and resume to the in person audition.


REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals begin on Monday, June 5 at 7:00 pm. Along with submission, please indicate any conflicts you may have throughout the rehearsal schedule, which is Monday – Thursday from 7:00 pm – 10: 00 pm and possible Saturday rehearsals from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. (Please note: the week of June 5th and June 12th, rehearsals will be located outside of Desert Stages.)

NO CONFLICTS ALLOWED:
No conflicts will be accepted during show dates or the week before opening.

Masks are not required, but are welcomed for your safety and concern.
Each performer will be asked to abide by the rules of Desert Stages Theatre.

AGATHA CHRISTIE’S THE MOUSETRAP

A group of strangers is stranded in a boarding house during a snow storm, one of whom is a murderer. The suspects include the newly married couple who run the house, and the suspicions in their minds nearly wreck their perfect marriage. Others are a spinster with a curious background, an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef, a retired Army major, a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift, and a jurist who makes like miserable for everyone. Into their midst comes a policeman, traveling on skis. He no sooner arrives, when the jurist is killed. Two down, and one to go. To get to the rationale of the murderer’s pattern, the policeman probes the background of everyone present, and rattles a lot of skeletons.

Mollie Ralston – Proprietor of Monkswell Manor, and wife of Giles.
Giles Ralston – Husband of Mollie who runs Monkswell Manor with his wife.
Christopher Wren – The first guest to arrive at the hotel, Wren is a hyperactive young man who acts in a very peculiar manner. He admits he is running away from something, but refuses to say what. Wren claims to have been named after the architect of the same name by his parents.
Mrs Boyle – A critical older woman who is pleased by nothing she observes.
